Corktown Condos Summary
This sophisticated three-tower high-rise will offer stunning views of Lake Ontario.
Corktown Condos is a new mixed-use high-rise condominium by SLATE in Hamilton. These three 27, 14 and 8 storeys pre-construction residential buildings set to rise at John St S, near Highway 8 and John Street in the Corktown neighbourhood
This new condo development project will contain a total of 769 dwellings in a mix of one to three-bedroom units.
Amenities
Corktown Condos will be replacing the Corktown Plaza located at this address – to revamp and add modernity to the rapidly urbanizing area.
Residents here can expect to find three varying buildings with residential use and 929 square metres of commercial use; the heights of the buildings increase toward the southeast.
Retail use will be located along the John Street South frontage and townhouse units at the base of the eight-storey building with separate entrances – sitting at Young and Catharine Street. The developers have mentioned the construction of a micro-grocer in this retail space adding convenience for residents and locals.
Although we do not have an exact breakdown of amenity space, as per the builder, we can expect a range of thoughtfully planned out amenity areas. Most notably, these developers have worked on the eye-catching and preeminent One Delisle Condo in Toronto, meaning splendour is not new to them.
We can expect to find refined indoor and outdoor amenity space including expansive lounges, a fitness centre, chef’s kitchen and dining room, co-working spaces, kid’s room and 24-hour concierge service in the lobbies. We also expect to see a pool with pool amenities, saunas and terraces landscaped with patio seating and BBQ stations.
We can anticipate that each unit will be designed with elegance and thoughtfully developed features and finishes. The kitchens should be inspiring spaces where residents can get down with state-of-the-art fixtures and appliances. The bathrooms should be spa-inspired relaxing spaces where residents can feel comfortable and at home.
Similar to other projects by SLATE we may also see each suite contain smart features including a mobile resident app available to all residents. This app can control in-suite thermostats, enable amenity booking and include features for community, security, and privacy, keyless suite entry locks and utility submetering for electricity, water and thermal.
Residents will have access to 462 vehicular parking spaces spread throughout all three condominiums. The parking garage will also contain 385 short-term and long-term bicycle spaces.
Each unit should have a balcony or terrace with large windows for both visual appeal and functionality. The height of the tallest building will allow for scenic views of the harbourfront from the comfort of your own balcony.
