A luxurious towering condo is in the early stages of development in the prestigious Summerhill neighbourhood.
49 Jackes Avenue Condos is a 29-storey high-rise condominium by Lifetime Developments in Toronto. This pre-construction project will be located at 49 Jackes Ave, near the intersection of Yonge Street and Jackes Avenue, just south of St.Clair Avenue E.
The proposed 29-Storey condo will consist of 217 luxe dwellings that contains a mix of one-bedroom, two-bedroom and three-bedroom units.
49 Jackes Avenue Condos will consist of a 27-storey tower that sits on a two-storey podium.
The 15,577 m² edifice, dedicated solely to residential space, is planned to house a total of 217 condominium units, in a mix of 104 one-bedrooms, 90 two-bedrooms, and 23 three-bedrooms.
Amenities in this building will include a spacious four-level underground parking garage with 55 spaces per floor, 7 of which are visitor parking spaces. And due to a push from developers to use cleaner transportation methods, 217 bicycle spots have been proposed; 195 spaces for residents and 22 for visitors. In addition, a pedestrian walkway has been planned-out to promote more walking as a means of transportation and a direct route to take public transit.
Keeping up-to-date with condo trends, 49 Jackes Avenue plans to incorporate distinguishing exterior greenery into their designs. It will feature a vertical strip of ‘sky gardens’ extending from the second floor up to the roof along the building’s west facade. These 9-by-4.06-metre notches are expected to house pairs of balconies, opening up at every third floor into spacious terraces.
The stunning cladding of this condo in particular is worth mentioning; the two-storey podium will include a mix of masonry, bronze metal finishes and vertical fins extending from the glazing. Additionally, the tower’s north, south and east facades will have unique undulating walls of glazing, spandrel panels, and inset balconies. The west facade will display the signature ‘sky gardens’. All in all the vibrant colours will be a great addition to the list of condos lining Yonge Street.

This neighbourhood is home to Summerhill subway station as well as Rosedale, while Line 1 St Clair Station and Duport are both nearby. As well, the area is served by streetcar (512 St Clair) and multiple bus routes and is anticipating a future Eglinton LRT station built to its north.
