815 Eglinton Avenue East Summary
815 Eglinton Avenue East Master-planned community is being developed by RioCan Living in the Leaside neighbourhood in Midtown Toronto.
This is a great neighbourhood outfitted with plenty of local amenities, but it is set to become one of the most central locations in town. This is due to the incoming rail line that will greatly improve accessibility in the region, and catalyze growth in the process.
815 Eglinton is going to take up an entire city block, and it will include everything you could want in a new community. It’s going to have private amenity space, parks, shopping, and more. There’s no doubt, this is a project to keep your eye on!
This will be a diverse project with a variety of units to choose from. There will be a total of 1,477 new units, and the current plans are to allocate these to 862 one-bedroom units, 429 two-bedroom units, and 144 three-bedroom units.
It’s located on the southeast corner of Eglinton East and Laird Drive. All of the existing structures on the site will be cleared out to make room for the 5 new buildings coming to the site. There will be a new right of way road that bisects the community into northern and southern sections.
Buildings A and B will both rise out of a large retail unit, which will be the replacement building for the existing Canadian Tire that’s on the site. These towers are on the northwestern part of the site, and Building A will be 6 storeys high while Building B will be 8 storeys. A replacement PetSmart is included too, and it will be located to the east of the Canadian Tire.
There will be another retail unit on the northeastern section of the site, but its tenant is not yet determined.
Two towers will rise out of here as well. Building C1 will be on the northern side and it will be 12 storeys, and Building C2 will be on the eastern side and it will be 26 storeys.
Building D will be a 34 storey tower with amenity space on its ground floor, and it is located to the east on the southern section of the site.
Building E will be a 34 storey High-rise, and it will have both amenity and retail space on the ground level. It will be situated in the middle part of the southern section.
Building F is on the western part of the southern end, and it will mostly have retail on its ground level with 2,519 square feet put aside for amenities. It will also have a 9 storey residential tower.
