Bloor & Dundas Summary
This new condo project is an ambitious project, but given the size of the site, which spans 10 acres, we’re expecting a multi-phase development.
Dundas & Bloor Condominiums is a mixed-use condominium development by Choice Properties REIT in Toronto. This pre-construction project is located at 2280 Dundas St W, near Dundas & Bloor intersection in Roncesvalles neighbourhood. An occupancy date has yet to be released for this ambitious project.
Big changes are on the way for this neighbourhood and this is your chance to be on the leading edge of a revolutionary urban transformation.
Amenities
Dundas & Bloor Condominiums will feature 10 acres of land, bound by Bloor Street to the north, Dundas Street to the west and the railpath to the east. You might recognize it as the site of a former big-box store, now languishing in a neighbourhood where there’s an increased demand for housing.
We’re still waiting for formal plans to be submitted, which means no information about building heights or unit counts are publically available. Be sure to keep an eye on this page for the latest updates. The developers have, however, committed to a mixed-use project. This means we’re likely to see a range of housing types, parkland, improved pedestrian and cycling networks and the addition of retail and office space.
Choice Properties REIT is the land-development branch of Loblaw, so there’s a good chance the retail component at this building will be an associated brand, like a Loblaw grocery store or a Shopper’s Drug Mart.
There’s also discussion about potentially relocating and upgrading a Catholic secondary school that currently sits on the site, possibly moving it farther south within the parcel of land. Given the development’s proximity to the Dundas West Mobility Hub – which includes connections to the subway, streetcar, GO Train and Union Pearson Express – the proposal will likely include enhanced pedestrian connections with the hub too.
This is a great opportunity to be part of an exciting urbanization that combines community, contemporary living space and some of the city’s best transit access.
