Anything of importance is always kept close at heart, and so it is with Toronto’s geographical heart: an ideal community made out of luxury residences, all close to local amenities at the city centre.
Crosstown Condos is the first phase of the Crosstown master-planned community, an ambitious real estate project that looks to revitalize this part of midtown. Across this sprawling 60 acre site, this master-planned community will ultimately complement some 5,000 residential living units with a variety of different services that include retail, commercial, open parks, and even a not-for-profit 1,223 square meter child care facility.
But even as this master-planned community plans to cater to the local needs of its future residents, the surrounding neighbourhood is full of existing conveniences that make living here so great. Equipped with quick transportation options, easy access to local amenities, and situated within one of the city’s densest green areas, this pre-construction development contains all the necessary elements for making an ideal home.
From this premium location, residents can use public transit like the future Eglinton Crosstown LRT to make a quick commute to work, or they can use the close proximity of local services to perform daily errands on foot, or they can enjoy the lush forestlands of the Don Valley that surrounds this community on all sides.
Whether for growing families, active urbanites, or downsizing retirees, there is no more perfect address than the one at Crosstown Condos, the luxury residence located at the heart of the city.
Located at 844 Don Mills Road and intersecting at Eglinton Avenue East, this initial offering will be comprised of 1,604 residential dwelling units that will come in a variety of forms. The first phase of Crosstown Condo residences will consist of three high-rise condominium towers with heights of 32, 34, and 39 storeys; three mid-rise buildings with heights of 8 storeys; and a series of freehold and stacked townhouses with heights of 3 to 4 storeys.
Out of the two blocks belonging to the first phase, the first will be mid-rise buildings containing 192 living units, and low-rise buildings containing 28 living units. Mid-rise living units will take up a gross floor area of approximately 13,031 square meters and are planned to include 128 1-bedroom units, 46 2-bedroom units, and 18 3-bedroom units (or more); low-rise living units will be spread out over 2,968 square meters and be comprised of 14 2-bedroom units and 14 3-bedroom units. Capped at a maximum height of 27 meters, these residences will be equipped with 384 square meters of indoor and outdoor amenity space each and contain 166 vehicle parking spaces.
Meanwhile, the second block of first phase buildings will be comprised of 1,304 living units that will be built as part of high-rise (1,304), mid-rise (162), and low-rise buildings (28). The high-rise and mid-rise condos will offer a total of 822 1-bedroom suites, 321 2-bedroom suites, and 133 3-bedroom suites. Amenity space for these residences (capped at 123.07 meters high) will measure 2,769 square meters for indoor use and 2,552 for outdoor; there will be 934 spaces for vehicle parking, and 1,556 spaces for bicycle parking.
In addition to the over two hectares of park that will arrive later, this first phase will feature the development of a 0.77 hectare public park to be located at the south end of the site adjacent to Eglinton Avenue East, all within easy reach of condo residents.
Along with sharing the premises with the 9-storey-high headquarters for Canadian electronics manufacturing company Celestica, this first stage will benefit from a wide range of local services, each located just moments away.

Despite being located deep within the geographical heart of the city, the neighbourhood of Wynford-Concorde has managed to firmly balance its development of residential homes, commercial offices, and retail stores with its natural environment — all while facilitating easy commutes to the rest of the city with a wide range of transportation options.
Residents living at the intersection of Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue East have a diverse offering of retail stores that they are able to reach on foot. Besides numerous well-known restaurants and coffee chains, local retail outlets found in this area include the Real Canadian Superstore, the C&C Supermarket, and Sunny Foodmart. After taking a longer walk, residents can access big brand stores like Canadian Tire, Walmart, and Best Buy, or they can reach the 72 retail stores at Shops at Don Mills in a mere 15 minute walk.
One key benefit to living in the area is the easy access to a number of local parks and nature trails that include Wilket Creek Park, Moccasin Trail Park and its Rainbow Tunnel, Sunnybrook Park, the 3 kilometer-long Don Mills cycling and walking trail as well as Edwards Gardens, Toronto’s famous botanical gardens.
And yet, there’s much more to this area than verdant woodlands. This area has no shortage of cultural institutions that include the Ontario Science Centre, the Aga Khan Museum of Islamic and Iranian art, or experience martial arts or tea ceremony demonstrations at the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre.
This mixed-use community is also very friendly to family with its wide collection of educational facilities that include a local library as well as Grenoble Public School, St. Bonaventure Elementary School, Don Mill Collegiate Institute, and Marc Garneau Collegiate Institute. Meanwhile, this area also proves to be a great off-campus residence for students attending York University Glendon Campus, located just 11 minutes away by car, or 40 minutes by transit.
With local bus routes to be found throughout the vicinity, local residents can reach Eglinton Station on the Line 1 subway in just 30 minutes by transit, thereby taking them downtown in just 51 minutes. Conversely, a bus trip north to the eastern terminus of Line 4 Sheppard subway, Don Mills Station, will take just 20 minutes. As well, the best is yet to come as this area welcomes the arrival of the future 25-stop Eglinton LRT, due to begin operating in 2021.
