Huntingdale Towns Summary
What makes Huntingdale Towns interesting is that they bring a change from the typical high-rise apartment structures seen in the neighbourhood. The IBI Group is designing these townhomes that will provide much improvement to the area and offer low-rise structures that will beautify the surrounding area.
The existing retail plaza will be replaced with 85 back-to-back and standard townhomes that will be arranged in three rows and ranging in size from 1,068 to 1,640 square feet. There will be a total of five blocks of townhomes. New Town Development with five blocks of four-storey, 85-unit townhomes
At the intersection of Pharmacy and Huntingdale will be two blocks of 18 townhomes (Blocks A and B), while Block C will have 14 standard townhome units.
The remaining blocks D and E will be located south of Blocks A and B, and will also consist of 18 back-to-back townhome units. There will also be 16 standard back-to-back townhome units as well.
The importance of parking was also top of mind for this development project to accommodate all of the townhome units being built.
The proposal is for 94 parking spaces that will be located within a garage on the ground floor beneath a proposed central courtyard. To provide ease of access to the garage will be a driveway situated on Huntingdale Boulevard. More parking spaces are made available for standard townhomes near the south end of the site whereby each will have their very own partially covered roof decks.
