Oscar Residences ground floor will house a residential lobby, accessible off a private sidewalk on the site’s west side, bicycle storage and three separate retail spaces, including The Beer Store, which currently occupies the site.
The second floor of this new building will feature 3,164 square feet of indoor amenity space, connecting seamlessly to 4,327 square feet of outdoor amenity space. The building will be designed so levels two through four are U-shaped, overlooking an interior courtyard, while all levels up to the fifth will be cantilevered with inset balconies, providing covered pedestrian space at grade.
The unit mix at Oscar Residences calls for one-bedroom and one-bedroom-plus-den layouts, two-bedroom and two-bedroom-plus-den and three-bedroom layouts, for a total of 161 residential units at this beautiful 9 storey architectural building. 127 parking spaces and 228 bicycle spaces are proposed in two levels of underground parking.
Location & Neighborhood
The Midtown area isn’t seeing the hyper-intensification and expanse of glass skyscrapers we’ve been seeing in some neighbourhoods, but it has steadily been undergoing a regeneration in its own way. You’re much more likely to see thoughtful and contemporary boutique buildings along this stretch, many of which incorporate retail or high-end office space.

The immediate area around 5this project has access to a number of public transit options, including several bus routes and is a ten-minute walk from both Bathurst Station – which connects to the subway’s Line 2 – and Dupont Station – which connects to Line 1.
You’re likely to find an array of eclectic shops, cafes, services and supermarkets along this stretch, making it a great neighbourhood for convenience. It’s also a short walk to both George Brown College and the University of Toronto.
