Occupying four separate lots, this development will sit just south of Lawrence Avenue. It’s proposed as a 25-storey building, consisting of an expansive six-storey podium and a 19-storey tower element.
The podium is designed to wrap around the two main streets it faces, forming a distinctive L-shape. Almost 1,600 square feet of retail space will be built at street level, helping enliven the stretch and define the public realm.
The tower element, standing a further 19 storeys, will house 240 residential units. The developers are planning to allocate 43 percent to larger two and three-bedroom suites, with a mix of 37 bachelor, 98 one-bedroom, 77 two-bedroom and 28 three-bedroom layouts. Many of the larger suites come with spacious, inset balconies.
Residents will have access to 5,220 square feet of indoor amenities on the seventh floor, including party and catering kitchen facilities, along with a fitness centre. This space will connect to an almost 7,000-square-foot outdoor terrace on the podium’s rooftop, featuring dining alcoves, lounging space and barbecue stations.
A striking design with varied massing will make this condo project immediately recognizable on the horizon and hopefully set the standard for modernization in the neighbourhood. The developer has also taken care incorporating step-backs into the design of the tower, which will maximize privacy for residents in the likely event that adjacent land gets developed in this growing part of the city.
